We travel about 30 km from Budapest to the Grassalkovich Castle of Gödöllő, built in the years 1744-1748, designed by Andreas Mayerhofer. After the Austro-Hungarian Compromise, the castle came into the possession of Emperor Franz Joseph I and his wife Elisabeth (Sissi) who made Gödöllő their preferred summer residence. During a one-hour guided tour through the castle we visit the magnificently decorated rooms. Not far from the castle, in the Domony valley (5 km), we continue our program on an estate with apricot brandy and fresh Pogácsa. The high point of this visit is an equestrian performance. After that, you have the opportunity to visit the stables with horses and various pets. After this experience on the farm we return to Budapest. Duration 4 hours.
